alles klar, Herr Kommissar?

The Living Church is now reporting that all dioceses formerly requesting "Alternative Primatial Oversight" have changed their request to match +Stanton's for a "Commissary." In honor of the proposed revival of the office created (as +Stanton's statement notes) for the established church of the British Empire to supervise her outposts in the colonies, I offer this 80's tune, along with its lyrics in German and English. "Alles klar, Herr Kommissar?"

Once upon a time 'Der Kommissar' was covered by the English band 'After the Fire' and their cover version reached (I think) number 5 in the US charts. I only mention this because a) ATF are a Christian group, named after 1 Kings 19.12 (who recently released a single for the trade justice movement = the One campaign in the US I think), and b) one of the band members plays in my church :o) and has therefore heard a great number of sermons influenced by your notes.

What goes around comes around.

Thanks for the info on After the Fire -- fun stuff! I knew their cover of "Der Kommissar," but admit I'm partial to the German original -- partly because it's the original, and partly because times it played on the radio when I was in high school were just about the only times it was considered cool to know German. :)

I'm glad you will be in Washington, DC this weekend. I wish I could be there to hear you. I hope you can find the time, with all that you are doing, to tell a bit about the weekend.

As I'm sure we all know Pittsburgh asked for APO. The request came from the floor.
They also voted to succeed from Provine III and took those of us that didn't want to leave with them. It was my first and last time as a delegate to the Pittsburgh Diocesan Convention. It made me physically ill.

Loved the Investure. It was nice after a very difficult day before. I think we need to hear that message over and over. Bringing God's love to all and about ministering to all people. Living in Christ as oppposed to living with Christ.

I grew up with Der Kommisar lol. That and Rock me Amadeus.

God's Peace, Bob
